Bobby, Maggot, Blair, Cujo & Puppy

Cujo (dog), Maggot, Blair (dog) and Bobby (and puppy hidden).

It’sBobby, in the black hat and coveralls, has been traveling for nine years, since he was 16 years old. His mom and dad both received DUI’s on the same day and Bobby started couch surfing but decided traveling would be more fun. Bobby had been working in tree service since he was a young child, but has not worked since his father died two years ago. He has had his dog Blair for five years.

Maggot (named so by his step-father), in the red pants, has had his dog Cujo since Cujo was three months old. Cujo is now three years old. Maggot has been traveling for eleven years, since he was 17 years old.

Bobby and Maggot started traveling together four months ago. They just got a puppy together today from someone giving away puppies at Safeway on Iris and 28th. They’ll name the puppy in a few days. Bobby and Maggot look out for each other, worry about each other and take turns going into stores so the dogs aren’t left alone.

Both guys agreed on what they dogs mean to them. “They mean everything to us. They are 24/7 companions and protective of us. We don’t take them anywhere they are not welcome. We love to spoil them and we feed them three more times the food than we feed ourselves. It’s good to have something to take care of. We love our lives and are not changing for anybody. This is what we do and we love it.”
